The history of Missoni began in 1953 when Ottavio Missoni and his wife Rosita set up a small workshop in their home in Gallarate where they created their unmistakable colourful knitwear and founded the company.
Since its foundation, it has remained a family-run business.
Missoni has always stood out for the excellence of its materials and knitwear with unique patterns; the zig-zag pattern, a symbol of modernism at the time, has now become a true icon in the history of fashion.
